As I ..

As I walked along the path which I treaded the past one year I was filled with mixed emotions. I will not be seeing these places anymore. I will not be walking this path to my office between 8.50 AM to 9.00 AM. Will this place miss me? No it wont. People will be going on with their usual chores. Buses 203, 216, 116 will keep on operating in irregular times. People will randomly roam around the high street. Thames water level will increase and decrease every alternate day. Sun will show its face once in a fortnight. Life will go on as usual. But I will not be part of that system. I will become part of another system where things will be totaly different. The Sun which hides its face here will be available at its best in the new system.

Chennai, here I come.

Life is a Book

Considering life as a book, I have read almost half my life. May be another half is pending. End of each day is like reading one page in life. The remaining pages to be read gets thinner thinner and then just like that "poooh" gone.

Many of the chapters in our life can be grouped logically to make sense.

I am currently standing on the edge of one such logical compilation of chapters.

Each day passing by brings us one step closer to death - the inevitable.

By chance I happened to come across a real autopsy performed. After seeing that it made the fact "this body is nothing" look more strong.

In this short period of time we spend in this world we find people who laugh heartily at somethings, who smile to unknowing strangers on some silly things.

Now I am totally lost. I dont even know what I wanted to write.

One thing is sure I am very eager to know how many pages are still left to be read in my life.

Oru Koodai Sunlight

Atlast some news from AVM on Sivaji. April 4th Sivaji songs hits the stores. The lyrics looks good for the song "Oru Koodai Sunlight" and the song sounded too techy. Hope the album breaks and creates new records.

Chandramukhi has celebrated 700 days. Refer www.rajinifans.com for 700th day poster.

After a long time India has created a record in cricket. They massacared the bermuda team. Sehwag has made sure he will be in team for another year. Uthapa missed a golden chance.

Hyderabad Chief minister YSR has said that Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai are not competitors to Hyderabad and he consideres Shanghai and Singapore as competitors.

World Cup

I can read in media that the whole country has gone crazy over cricket World cup but I remain unaffected. I am still looking for a reason why I am not affected.

There were times in the past when I too got this fever. I am not good with years either so I cant tell you the year of the world cup. But the world cup which kept me more engrossed was the one where there was the More - Miandad clash, where SA was asked to score 22 runs in one ball.

The next WC which took my interest was the one where Aus and Srilanka clashed for the finals, where Kambli cried.

Other than the above two I cant think of any WC that took me by storm. The way media is trying to hype the WC sometimes makes me think its only hype and nothing more but I might be wrong.

Whoever is following the matches - happy viewing.

Million Dollar Baby

I bought the DVD of this movie when I heard about the story line. So I knew what was coming. When I saw it the first time it didnt impact me very much as I was prepared for what was coming. When I saw this the second time the impact was more than the first time for some reason.

A very clean movie with no unnecessary digressions. Even the music does not interefere with the movie. There are very few scenes where we can actually hear the music that too a very soft music. In all other scenes its just the natural sounds.

Clint Eastwood brigs out the punch of each boxing match very well and he has also exelled in other poignant scenes.

Though for such a heavy theme we dont see people crying except at the last scene in a church. Yes you need little patience to watch this movie due to its slow pace but I like such movies which take their own to time get on you.

A very good movie.

Why Me?

Something I read in an Orkut forum I am reproducing here. Many times we ask GOD why me when things goes wrong continue reading ..

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player was dying of AIDS.

From the world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed : "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease"?

To this Arthur Ashe replied:

The world over --5 crore children start playing tennis,
50 lakh learn to play tennis,
5 lakh learn professional tennis,
50,000 come to the circuit,
5000 reach the grand slam,
50 reach Wimbeldon,
4 to semi final,
2 to the finals,
When I was holding a cup I never asked GOD "Why me?".

And today in pain I should not be asking GOD "Why me?"
Happiness keeps u Sweet,
Trials keep u Strong,
Sorrow keeps u Human ,
Failure Keeps u Humble,
Success keeps u Glowing,
But only God Keeps u Going.

Stock Market

Stock Market is currently crashing like anything. I never understood the concept of this Stock Market though many attempted to explain it to me I really never go the hang of it. One thing I understood, only GOD can save the market and its investors from here.

Pauthiveeran and Mozhi has been receiving Rave reviews hope the movies are as good as the reviews suggests.

The debate on Vijay TV awading Naalaya Superstar title to actor Vijay has been going on for sometime. Few days ago Vijay also commented to media that Pokiri collection is going to overtake Chandramukhi's collection. Except for dismissing these as ridiculous nothing much can be said about these comments.

Sivaji fever is on everywhere but the silence from the crew only antagonises the fans hope to see some official announcement on the movie soon.

Sify is one site which promotes certain stars without shame. For few years we can see it going ga ga over vikram. Vikram did that, Vikram did this, he is great, Bheema is hotter than Sivaji all nonsenses are being spread by Sify recently.

After reading all this you can ask like the vakeel asks sivaji in Parasakthi "unakenna akarai ithanal endru". Just venting out my feelings on the happenings in tamil film world.

A Simple Plan and Just Mercy
