It is getting difficult nowadays to get out of bed as winter is slowly settling in London. Sun which used to show its head early in the morning around 4.45 AM is nowadays not seen until 8 or 9 AM sometimes you dont see it the entire day. Only when we are in places like this we understand the importance of sunshine.
In chennai we eagerly wait for the monsoon to set in but here sunshine is like monsoon and we eagerly wait for it. As I am typing this its very dark outside but the time is 9.30 AM. There is no sign that sun is going to show its face anytime sooner but you cant guess anything with London weather.
We have read in school in scandinivian countries it is still worst. One thing that keeps me wondering is that the people from those places never made an attempt to leave those places and move to a better places (in terms of weather). They have done all that is possible to make their life comfortable in that weather.
In Chennai we have abundance of Sunlight. I dont know how much of it we are using it to our benefit. The only thing we do is complaining it is too hot. Recently I have seen few lights using solar energy. It is a very good step. Lets hope we come with some ground breaking method of utilising the solar energy.

What you say is so tru..I like solar cooker very much.
Dan,
Looks like you are longing for the sunlight. I think Sun gets tired after visiting all other places, and goes home before it visits UK in winter. Remember the worst days are ahead.
