There are few stories which were part of our English subject in school still remain very fresh in the mind. I have tried to list down a few here
1) A lady carrying a dog enters into a bus and conductor is against it
2) A guy borrows a penny from a friend when going abroad and the friend remembers that for a very long time
3) A couple buys everything through installment and finally we learn that they pay the doctor who attended their childs delivery also in installments
4) This was a poem about a poisonous tree. We grow inside ourselves a poisonous tree when we have anger against friends and we water it everytime we smile at them
5) Two guys who stitch an invisible dress for a king (this one triggered me to write this post - i read this today in another place)
6) A man who sells his watch to buy his wife something good for her hair and the wife who sells her hair to buy her husband a good strap for his watch
7) A kid who comes running back to his home to enjoy a weekend with his mom realises his mother died just few days back - a very sad story - it was part of a non detail story

The last story you have mentioned is distincly vivid in my memory - particularly the last sentences of that story - the boy weeps aloud but no sound comes from his mouth!
I remember the poisonous tree, invisible dress and also the watch story :-)
thanks for visiting the site people.
No.6 is Gift Of Maggi by Oscar Wilde (not sure on the author)
