Civilisation

Yesterday when walking back home I saw a man aged above 60 singing aloud and walking. He didn't look like a lunatic. He looked pretty decent. If he was not singing aloud he would have passed for a any normal old man. Just because he was singing aloud the first feeling I got was I should keep distance from the person.

This is what most of us feel. Now why do we feel that way? Does singing aloud means the guy is insane? Who defined what is insane?

If we think about how the primordial man would have lived, we will not be having many of the rules we have now. Example is not to shout when in a crowd. He would have lived in wild sorroundings. He would have shouted whenever he felt like. He would have sang aloud whenever he felt like.

Then came a group of people who enforced a rule saying no body should shout when in crowd.

Remember I am just talking about one such rule. Similarly rules were added on top of rules and man has now been reduced to live by the rules he created. He has lost most of the freedom. He can't do this, he can't do that. Man become very selfconscious. He is now afraid of what the other person will think of him.

The old man made lot of friends on the way due to his singing. People started singing with him and few made dancing movements. I crossed him at one point and he was harmless.

Yes sometimes rules make life easier but some rules have just made man a butterfly whose wings have been plucked.

Very true. There are very few people who are loyal to their conscience these days.
