Lucifer

The title of this movie attracted me to this movie. Just the name Lucifer conjures up so many thoughts in your mind. Also the reviews portrayed this movie to be class mass movie. I started watching with huge expectations but was heavily disappointed.

The characters were absolutely one dimensional. Vivek Oberoi, Suresh Menon, the police role, Kalabavan and that English villain looked like they were out of a mediocre Tamil masala movie. The scenes where many trucks and a boat gettin blown up also looked very amateurish. I can understand that while writing these scenes in paper they would have looked like some heart thumping action scenes but they looked totally out of place and poorly executed.

Prithviraj had tried to make each scene monumental by always showing some convoy of cars coming to a stop and showcasing every movement in slow motion. The first half an hour nothing much was happening in the movie.

The brooding Mohan Lal also didn't work for me. We could also see that Prithviraj had tried to please all religions by placing some scene where something about each religion is spoken or acted.

Like Superman, Mohan Lal and Prithviraj in guest role finishes every other bad person in a second. If only Mohan Lal was informed of all the bad people before the start of the movie but then we wouldn't have had this movie.

The sad point is the praise this movie received from media.
