Celebrity

Recently I was thinking about my interests when I was a teen. I was a big fan of tamil novels. Especially Rajesh Kumar, Subha and Pattukotai Prabhakar. While I was reading these main stream authors I also used to read Rajendra Kumar and Pushpa Thangathurai. Compared to the earlier three these two will sprinkle in little more erotica in their writing.

At that time all these people were in their top form and they were celebrities. Over the year the latter two were no more there in the field. I can see the celebrity span of these celebrities are limited. I dont know how many of them remembers Pushpa Thangathurai. Only people who were from 70's and 80's still look for his writing that too not actively. Some celebrities will have longer span than others.

There are some who gets written in the history like the kings and artists like Alexander or Da Vinci but others are forgotten after their era. Their names will still be found by people who dig deeper into he area but still their longevity is limited.

Even if we look at MGR who had a huge fan following during his days, I dont know how many will remember MGR as an actor. People who search for his movies has come down and will come down as the people who lived during his days die. He will still be there in history as TNs chief minister though as it is an official record. Like that some might exist only in the history records.

Compared to normal people their longevity might be high but when we look at it from the earth's age everything blurs.

But dinosaurs are real heros they are still remembered after millions of years but still only as species which went extinct. It can happen to all the Kim Kadarshians, Paris Hiltons, Donald Trumps, Michael Jacksons, Rajini Kanths, Kamal Hassans and Ambanis as well. They will only be remembered as human species.

Dream

When you dont see

There are few things which we can't see even though we have our eyes wide open. No matter how focused you are it just happens right in front of your eyes which you cant notice.

I went for a walk with an elderly person in a park when I was in London. She asked me this question "When does it gets dark in Chennai?". Until then I never cared to notice this behavior but the question was out there and I had to answer it. I did give a random number. She also told that even though we are wide awake darkness just engulfs us without us noticing it. Though we can give some approximate time to it we cannot point a moment and say this is when it happened.

When you are riding a bike during dusk you might consider switching on the headlight after it gets dark but before you knew it you would be riding in darkness.

In life many things happen right under your nose but we fail to notice them.

Recently saw a movie named "Feast of Love". Morgan Freeman played his usual role of narrating the events. In this movie there is a quote where he says the same thing. We just have to keep our eyes open to notice things. The end is always there in the beginning.

What would you do?

What would you do when things happen to you which you have always heard happening to people known to your friends friend? things which you assumed will happen only to others? when you know you belong to the minority? when things worse than whatever you had assumed as the worst thing that can happen to you?

In the last few days life has proved to be very difficult to live with. Yes in just a second everything you have built till that point of time can collapse like a castle of cards. The places and things which looked normal now looks like haunted and creepy places. You try to forget certain things but it doesn't last long. It just comes back at you at the speed of a tsunami. Heart is one heck of an organ it is able to withstand so much pressure.

Life has never been fair. Chance and Luck plays a major factor in how your life shapes up. I have wished many times that I had been a different person than who I am now. I wish I hadn't come across certain things, certain people which/who has shaped me who I am. I never had control over those situations but those situations had done some permanent damage from which I will never be able to recover.

How long will this agony, called life will continue? I know there is an end but 'when' is the question.

World

Whenever you look at the world around you, you get a feeling how vast is the universe. Especially when your spirits are down and you have a pressing problem the moment you come out of your room and mingle with the world, the problem slowly seems like nothing when compared with the vast universe. The moment you go back into your room the problem again envelopes you.

But still there is one scary thought. Though the universe is so vast it is scary to think that if you dont have money it is going to be difficult to survive in this vast universe. The idea of just living on things grown naturally  without doing any work or worrying about what to deliver tomorrow, though sounds sweet its not possible. Was that how man was supposed to be? Was that how the earlier man was living? Was he happy then? Or was he worried about the natural predators around him?

The moment we build a shelter to protect us from natural predators the civilization starts and lifestyle goes downhill from then on and finally you end up sitting in front of a computer worrying about meeting tomorrows deadline.

Death

Death is the most painful problem in front of human kind. Many by nature finds solution to all the problems he faces. If we just look at all the advancements he has made it will be astounding. For all his problems man has found one solution or other. But still he hasnt found a solution to "the most painful problem" he faces, death.

He has been there for centuries but still he has not made progress even at a miniscule level. He is still attached to the term "mortal". Will mankind ever become immortal? Can the earth survive if there is no death? This point that not everything is under the control of man proves the point that there must be something which is a lot more powerful than man. That powerful thing must have created this world and put in death as something which cannot be overpowered.

Even the scriptures doesnt talk about anyone being immortal.

Will future have the answer for being immortal? Can the creation overcome the rule put in by the creator?

Irony

Social get togethers play an important role in planting seeds of Jealousy by showing the blessings that you are missing. At the same time some gatherings helps in identifying how blessed you are when compared to others. The first thing obviously makes us sad and the second thing too doesnt help us rejoice.
