Masala mix

Saw Boss Engira Baskaran this weekend and it was a laugh riot from start to end. Full credits to the director who earlier gave another breezy movie Siva manasula sakthil. Songs were also good in Boss.. Wish more such movies are made in tamil.

Humidity in chennai is getting unbearable with no breeze out there and heat wave in october doing its work I dont see any respite. The city looks like a dead city with not even a single leaf nodding its head. Everything looks like a statue and the house acts like a huge cooker. Its very unpleasant to sit inside the home. It doesnt mean outside is better.

They were showing The last house on the left in HBO. I dont know how they show movies like that. Anyway they are going to chop of lot of scenes. That too they were showing it in prime time at 9 PM on a Sunday.

Masala Mix

Vadivelu and Singamuthu confrontation was a total surprise. No one would have expected those two will at tug of war with each other. And no one would have imagined that Vadivelu will have any problems in life. So being Vadivelu also doesnt help us to live without problems there will be a Singamuthu in every ones life.

Few days back witnessed an accident for which a Indica Taxi driver was fully responsible. The two wheeler ride who happened to be a software engineer did a somersault in air before hitting the ground. Though he was not injured, he was just few steps away from eternity. Though I wanted to beat the taxi driver black and blue but I didnt do anything. Every taxi driver in chennai drives their car, be it ambassador or indica, as if theirs is the only car on road.

Only recently read about the Rathore case and was not surprised at the way he has been playing with law. Finally one Anniyan had to come to scratch his face.

Its irritating to see when people praising directors like Saran claiming Amarkalam, Attagasam to be blockbusters.

Long time

Its been a long time since i posted something here. As i mentioned in one of the earlier posts they have banned the access to blogs in my working place so i dont get much time.

Traffic problem within chennai has only worsened with the statistics proving number of fatal accidents in chennai is the highest among the cities in India. Kudo's to the reckless driving of chennaites.

Last saturday watched Santosh subramaniam. A very clan entertainer. Jeyam Ravi is ery good. Its refreshing to see a movie without any heroism. Its a feel good movie. The songs and dances are awesome.

IPL is the talk of the town nowadays. I once used to be a follower of cricket now am struggling to get the same interest i used to have.

Dasavatharam songs and trailers has been released. The still which shows Kamal under water is awesome. Does Kamal have a winner in Dasa? We have to wait and see.

Given below is a picture which shows a campfire. I love such campfires where people dont barge into your privacy but let the conversation take its own course.

Hello

Its been quite sometime since I wrote something in this blog. There are more than one reason for that. Here I have listed them in no particular order.

1) Laziness
2) No one is going to read kind of thought
3) The place from where I used to access blogger and post articles has banned accessing blogger site
4) My home system got corrupted and ekalappai font is not working properly any more.

I have now found out that blogger itself provides an option to post in many Indian languages. Now so what happened during the period of absence, nothing but more people irritated me on the road. Today a mammoth Ford Endeavour was going before me giving no space to overtake. When the road is narrow I never attempt to overtake like other cool bastards who care damn about the width of the road when overtaking. Now there I have to take left turn and I was happy that atlast I will have the road free to myself for sometime but alas the Ford too turned in the same direction irritated me till the last point to my home. But that's ok the guy didnt drive rash.

Many IT guys now own car and today as I was returning home a red tata indica முட்டாள் drove like a serpent was inside his pants (I mean a real snake not the one you think). We also see Tata indica call taxi drivers drive rashly. Those guys are uneducated beedi guys. So what difference has education made? The IT idiot as well as the beedi wala both drive keeping their brains safely at their home.

On enough is enough here is a pic of Mena Suvari to cool down

Long time..

Its been quite sometime I wrote something in this blog. Life has been pretty hectic for me with issues lurking behind everything I turned. As the faith in GOD grows the issues disappear but when a new issue comes my faith in GOD decreases. I am caught in a vicious cycle.

The weather has been quite pleasent over here in chennai except for occassional hot days.

I tried watching Sivaji once more but didnt get tickets at INOX.

Kalaignar TV has started rolling and all tamils are very happy as this has solved all their problems.

Sethu Samudram is now the hot topic in India. BJP claims the bridge built by Rama should not be touched. Another hot issue is the Nuclear deal with US.

Enough for now. Hope all those who are not in chennai got a dose of desi news from this blog.

Accident

Sunday there was a news about an accident. The accident occured at Tambaram Sanitorium. According to The Hindu a guy was crossing the tracks and noticed two girls walking along another track without noticing an approaching train. In the eagerness to warn those girls he didnt notice a train which was coming on his track. Within seconds he was no more.

Life is not considered precious in India. 1000 accidents may happen but there wont be any prevention measures from the authorities.

I have seen a program in BBC where UK official were investigating a car accident. They were putting lot of effort to find out what could have caused the accident so that in future other people can be safe.

In India 1000's of accidents happens because of people crossing tracks. My house is very near to a track and I too used to cross these tracks. I have witnessed lot of accidents. As Indians basically have the mentality to follow certain things only if becomes a strict law, live's can be saved by enforcing laws and constructing pedestrian friendly overbridges. Otherwise we will be loosing many more lives like this.

Wordings written on the rear window of a car grabbed my attention yesterday.

It was written "So what? What Next?"

Weekend Updates

Weekend went to some shops in chennai. The places I hit in the order I visited are G.N.Chetty road, Alwarpet, Adyar, Pondy Bazaar. The traffic snarls in T.Nagar area is worse beyond imagination. I was unable to walk through the road. You need specific skill to walk in that road. I was not able to go into any of the shops as the shops were crowded beyond their limit but still I squeezed through. The crowd makes it look like they are distributing things for free. Though its good people are spending but as there are no means for a hassle free shopping its very tiring.

Everyday coming to office is becoming a big ordeal both from travel point of view and interest in work point of view. From childhood I envy those people who sit behind the kalla whose job is to simply collect the money and return the change. Especially the guy who are in the counters in hotels.

Saw few scenes from the movie Unnale Unnale it looked interesting.

Oru Koodai Sunlight

Atlast some news from AVM on Sivaji. April 4th Sivaji songs hits the stores. The lyrics looks good for the song "Oru Koodai Sunlight" and the song sounded too techy. Hope the album breaks and creates new records.

Chandramukhi has celebrated 700 days. Refer www.rajinifans.com for 700th day poster.

After a long time India has created a record in cricket. They massacared the bermuda team. Sehwag has made sure he will be in team for another year. Uthapa missed a golden chance.

Hyderabad Chief minister YSR has said that Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai are not competitors to Hyderabad and he consideres Shanghai and Singapore as competitors.

Stock Market

Stock Market is currently crashing like anything. I never understood the concept of this Stock Market though many attempted to explain it to me I really never go the hang of it. One thing I understood, only GOD can save the market and its investors from here.

Pauthiveeran and Mozhi has been receiving Rave reviews hope the movies are as good as the reviews suggests.

The debate on Vijay TV awading Naalaya Superstar title to actor Vijay has been going on for sometime. Few days ago Vijay also commented to media that Pokiri collection is going to overtake Chandramukhi's collection. Except for dismissing these as ridiculous nothing much can be said about these comments.

Sivaji fever is on everywhere but the silence from the crew only antagonises the fans hope to see some official announcement on the movie soon.

Sify is one site which promotes certain stars without shame. For few years we can see it going ga ga over vikram. Vikram did that, Vikram did this, he is great, Bheema is hotter than Sivaji all nonsenses are being spread by Sify recently.

After reading all this you can ask like the vakeel asks sivaji in Parasakthi "unakenna akarai ithanal endru". Just venting out my feelings on the happenings in tamil film world.

Heading

Thinking about a non repetitive heading is becoming a headache nowadays so I have kept the heading for this posting as just Heading.

Lot of serious weather change is happening. I heard Delhi had its coldest winters with temperature falling well below 2 degrees on the contrary London has been quite warm for its usual self. Normally the temperature in London around December, January and February should be below 5 degress but this time it has been hovering around 10 degrees consistently and add to that the rain which has been lashing the city for the past 3 weeks. The rain and warm weather has become a cycle. The warm weather has brought the rain and the rain has inturn made it warm. Could it all be due to global warming?

Many of IT giants announced their quarterly earnings almost all of them doing good.

Nowadays I can see lot of advertisements in TV on websites. It's kind of different for the eyes which has been accustomed to only advertisements on feelable products. It shows us how the world is evloving.

Nowadays I read a series of disturbing news about kidnap and murder of kids. I dont know if I am reading the same news again and again or it is different news daily. If it is different news something needs to been done immediately.

Vijayshanthi

Everybody will remember Vijayshanthi who played a memorable role against Rajni in Mannan. Sometime back there were news she was campaigning for BJP as did our own Gouthami. Today I read in hindu that she is the president of a political party which means she has started a political party. It makes me wonder from where people get the guts to start political parties. For long the trend is if your movie runs well then you are eligible to start a political party. One thing which we fail to notice is though many tried only very few succeeded and among those who succeeded only very few involves in active politics. Once they get elected they are not scene in news till the next election.

The pinnacle of that was the recently over TN election where almost the entire film fraternity was in politics and made a joke out of themselves. This is not a phenomenon which haunts India alone. Lot of Hollywood people do participate in their country's politics.

If there is one person who failed to use his fame to come to politics the only name that crops up into my mind is Rajnikanth.

**

There is a television program which is very famous in UK called the 'Big brother'. ITs about putting some 10 people together in a room and telecasting their activities to the entire world. The reason why I am talking about this program here is this time Indian actress Shilpa Shetty is inside the room. It is quite interesting to see how she acts as a normal human being. In this program Shilpa revealed her age (yes only age).

**

To end I also read in todays Hindu that a British national was relieved of his valuables in a local cinema in chennai. His camera and many other stuffs were stolen from him.

I happened to see the video clip which showed the last minutes of Saddam Hussein, lot of mixed feelings went through my mind. I came to know of Saddam around early 1990's during the gulf war. The news about the war used to be very interesting. I used to buy tamil evening papers just for the sake of knowing what is happening in Kuwait. Believe me or not I have bought papaers like Namathu MGR for this sake. I wanted America to win. I considered Saddam as an aggressor. America's Patriot (not sure of spelling) missiles were the talk of the town. BBC and CNN used to show missiles being fired. When America won I was happy.

Then in early 2000's again there were talks about America planning to strike Iraq. The Al-Queda diverted America's attention for a while and then again America turned its attention towards Iraq.

Saddam if he would have died in the battle he wouldnt have gained this much sympathy but killing him at this stage and showing the footage where he looks like a doll in their hands makes it look like a mistake.

Capital punishment - is it right or wrong? This debate has been going on for a very long time. The movie Dead Man Walking though doesnt dwell into the argument it portrays the agony a person has to undergo during the last minutes before execution. It is sad. Rather than the punishment itself the waiting for the punishment is what makes capital punishment a very dangeorous tool.

Metro

This is an interesting news item which has happened very near to my residence. There are too many things that has happened in favour of the security guard. The person who used the ATM forgot to log out of the ATM which obviously means he forgot to take his ATM card back. Here in UK the moment you request cash the first thing that comes out of the machine is your card and then the cash. So there is no way you can leave your card inside the ATM unless you do it wantedly.

There was also a news in Hindu yesterday about Metro rail coming to chennai. There have been talks going on for more than ten years on this but nothing has happened. Delhi on the other hand is implementing Metros as if they are toy trains. In chennai we are still waiting for the MRTS to become fully operational. Unless all different types of transport augment each other introducing various transorts will not be a success. Any european city has bus stops right outside the metro stations and all the metro lines will cross each other at some station enabling people to switch metros, buses, regualar trains and trams easily but in chennai bus stop will be a km from the station. I dont see any interlinking between the existing tambaram-beach section, MRTS and the Central-Arakonam section which makes us think twice before using the public transport. Having a common ticket is another important factor for the success of the public transport. Let us hope all the above will become a reality before the next generation takes over.

Mamta has ended her fast. She is against the Tata factory coming in WB. When people always welcome industries she is against it. I dont know the reason behind her decision. Hope she has just cause behind all these tamasha.

101

Those who are wondering about the title of this post please keep wondering.

After a long time sun has come out here but dont know how long it will last.

As per DMK govt latest rule Mayajaal tickets should cost 15 Rs. I dont know what will be the basis for bringing out certain rules. Sometimes it does look like we live under some dictatorship. People play a role only until rulers are elected afterwards they dictate rules. Instead of thinking how to improve cine industry if they spend time thinking how to improve the state it will add lot more value.

A kid has been found murdered in chennai. The kid who was playing outside his house went missing and the parents received a call asking for ransom but now they have found the kids body. Here in UK there was a series of murders few days ago and police was looking for the serial killer. Now a guy has been chargesheeted for the murders. It makes us shiver to think about the kind of people roaming around us.

Cocktail - 1

At the time of writing this post India is at no 7 position in 15th Asian Games in Doha. India has won 2 - Golds, 5 - Silver and 3 - Bronze. One Gold in Billiards by Pankaj Arjan and another Gold in Chess by Humpy.

China is in first position with 60 golds Japan follows with 17 golds. I dont want to complain on our performance.

If you go to any school and look at the bottom of any desk you will defintly find atleast one bubble gum stuck under most of them. Now take a walk in any high street in UK and observer the roads. You will see someone has been sowing bubble gums. the whole street is strewn with bubble gums.

Ajith to remake Rajini's Billa. I dont understand why someone would remake. The remakes might invite interest for the first few days of release but I dont think the interest will sustain. Not to belittle Ajiths efforts tt will be like another Lollu Sabha.

Given below is a picture from the movie "The Grudge"

The Nun - Movie

Yes the demon in Nun costume looks scary. Even in one of the earlier movies when they show this painting it had good impact. But beyond that...
