One Two ..

Most of us who would have participated in any Team event would have faced the situation. You walk into the room find lot of strangers. You search for a familiar face among the crowd. Ah Ha There is a familiar face. Under normal circumstances you would have walked into a shop which you are not interested whenever you notice this guy accidentaly in the street but today he looks like a ripe apple. You walk to him and start an useless conversation. You look around the room and find expect you everybody knows each other. The instructor or the conductor of the program walks in and asks us to count number of people in the room. Mind it this normally happens at the very start of the meeting or whatever. You can see atleast 5 or 6 people getting up and couunting each coming up with a different number. There will be a huge laugh and then they will come to conclusion on the right count.

All this while you will be watching what was so funny in that. You will be happy that the person next to you didnt laugh.

The instructor will do some complex Math and ask the first person in the front row to start counting 1. He will say the next person should say 2 and likewise it should go till 5 and then again start at 1.

By this time you would have found out the motive of the instructor. He wants to split the team and group strangers together. The ripe apple will be snatched from your hands now. There will be no time for you to move five seats away. It's too late.

The comedy isnt over yet. The first person will say 1 and it will go on till the fifth person saying 5. Now the sixth person will say 6. One intelligent guy will rise from his chair and say you should say 1. The guy who said 6 will act embrassed as if he stepped onto something very disgusting and say 1 again. The matter doesnt end here the dumbo next to him will say 7 and immediately correct himself to 2 and then give an intelligent smile to the crowd. By this time few dumbos would have become intelligent but still mistakes will happen atleast three more times. When it is your chance you would have already calculated what number you will be and you will utter it correctly and give a big yawn. You will be checking who else is with the same number as you are. You are now afraid if the first 2 minutes of this one day meeting has been like walking on charcoal of fire how the next 7.58 hrs is going to be.
