First Thing
Today there was a news about a Martui Omni ramming into a Govt bus and 10 people in the Omni died and one is critical. Now I dont want to be insensitive to the family which is already going through a nightmare but this incident (not accident) only raises question about the safety standards of our country. Is an Omni designed to carry 11 people?
Traffic police are only bystanders in our contry. Though they have all the power in their hands they are only ready to misuse it rather than use it. There might be people who will be violating the rule right under their nose who will go scot free but a person who violates rule in a empty road will be caught and fined. The sanctity of the rule is lost here.
As mentioned in my previous post, the death angels Black Taxis try to overtake from the left where there is only gap for a cycle to go and make you go to the extreme right closely followed by his retarded companion a Sumo. All these idiots who think through their ass are aged not more than 17 to 23.
A sense of fear should be instilled in these retards minds, a simple violation should be charged with the maximu fine and the rule should be ruthlessly followed. In India only fear works and that too only for a minimal %.
Unless this is done valuable lives will be lot everyday. The act of me surviving this chaos can only be termed as Miracle and nothing else. I know this is my umpteenth post on traffic and another ton will follow. I cant help it.
Second thing
Our broadcasting ministry is thinking of coming up with some new rule of giving copyright ownership to the creator as well. Till now the copyright is owned by the producer and not the director. If the new rule comes in then the director will also own the copyright.
Is this a right decision? On first look it might look it is right but there are so many questions in it. In software scenario the code which is created by a dveloper is owned by the client who pays for it. If the new rule is applied there who will own the code? People might say developer should own it but what about the designer? the tester? the planner?
Similarly in Cine industry too there are so many areas such as Choreography, Cinematography, Stroy, Screenplay, Fight etc now if copyright is given only to Director does it satisfy the need?
Knowing about indian think tanks who never think before they act, they might soon implement this and create a mess.
For me the existing rule of the guy who paid for the whole thing owns the right makes sense. The rule can be relaxed only for whoever is working on profit sharing mode than salary mode. Then again it cannot be blindly implemented.

Black Taxi
The initial topic that I gave for this section was Black Taxi Bastards but removed the last word as I felt it was too strong to be in title.
Though in chennai roads no idiot follows rules, these Black Taxi morons stand out among them in their speed. These pea brained fellows drive like as if there is a time bomb up their arse and it could explode if they dont reach destination within specified time.
If you are lucky and end up behind one such Black taxi they will appy ash on your face for free. None of these taxis are maintained well and they spew black burnt fume copiously.

Where am I?
There was a forward post which I read few days back which went on like there was a man from the city who hit upon a lazy village on the coast where he noticed fishermen who were fishing and left after catching very few fishes. It goes on like he enquires them why they didnt fish more and receives an answer that the fish they caught is enough for them. He explains to them how if they fish more and sell it, they might get more money and with more money they can buy motorised boats, catch more fish and with that money move to a city and ear still more money. They ask what then and he answers that if they have so much money they can retire peacefuly in a coastal town. They say that, they are already peaceful in a coastal town.
From one angle you can notice that the story might be suggesting just do whatever is needed for the day and rest peacefuly. Now thats definitely a life style which I would like to live but for a second if you think what might have happened if stone age man had thought like that. There would be nothing in short I would not be typing such a story in The Internet and you will not be reading this.
It is amazing to see mans quest for more. Thats what has brought in so much inventions. The difference is also brought only by a select few. Majority, like me just use the inventions and live. Our contribution to this quest and evolution is very minimal. We lead a life where we dont do anything significant. We remains consumers till the end. If few intelligent men could bring forth such a change in this world, imagine if each and every man in the earth contributed to inventions. The world would have been far more sophisticated. May be all of us would have annnihilated ourselves who knows?

Dawn of the Dead - 2004
Just happened to watch the remake of the classic Romero's Dawn of the Dead. Trust me there are very few remakes that can better the original and Dawn of the Dead by Zack Snyder is definitley one. One reason is its not a scene by scene remake. Snyder has just taken the plot and built on it.
One important change is the way the Zombies move. They no more move slowly. They dont give you the chance to escape. This makes the movie even more gripping. There are more characters than the original. You even see a Zombie giving birth.
The scene where the zombies block their escape in their custom made vechile has been picturised in a gripping manner. Believe me there are some very gory scenes with a chain saw.
Here is the trailer of the movie. Where there is no room in Hell, The Dead will walk the Earth.

Masala Mix

Swine Flu
Talking about swine flu has now become a fashion. Most of the people make silly jokes about it. Some tell about certain things happened to a certain guy who was affected by the flu and they know someone who knows that affected person. There are some who like to play a willing audience to such stories.
The media reacts in such a way with H1N1 written in such a big font that it occupies the entire front page. They make it sound like it has happened within our home. They keep scrolling tests "Chennai child still critical. High level panel formed" etc through night and day.
In the past the birdflu caused such a panic in India now we dont even know how the flu was eradicated. Our media is quick to blame the government and also to spread panic rather than being informative. Government too sometimes gives hopeless statements and add to the drama.
In a country where a slight scare of petrol bunk strike creates mile long queues and scares of XYZ bank going bankrupt causes panic with people forming queues in ATMs to withdraw their entire savings, this flu scare has only made them still worse.
Though the issue if this entire flu thing should be treated with utmost speed I have a feel as we mess 99% of the schemes we mess in times like this too.
