I came to know about Sundar through his website www.onlysuperstar.com. I used to follow his website very closely for Rajini related updates which he used to give in a interesting manner. Once I even had the opportunity to talk to him through phone. Though it was once I remember the conversation very well.

I also witnessed his move from www.onlysuperstar.com to www.rightmantra.com. This was indeed a big change. I still wonder what made him to change his direction. Once he moved to his new website I didn't notice any reference to Rajini in any of his post. I even used to wonder if he still considered himself as Rajini's fan.

He became a full time website manager and then I stopped monitoring his website but occasionally used to wonder if he was still running the website.

His new avatar was totally different it made me see a different side of him. I used to wonder can a person be as humble as him. He even had a apt nick name simplesundar.

Today accidentally I came across the news that he met with an accident today and he is no more.

I am at loss of words. I immediately visited his website and found he had even posted an article yesterday.

This just reminds that death is just right at our doorstep and the distance between life and death is just a simple line.

I have never met him in person but our common interest brought us close. I have just had one conversation with him but his passing away is like losing a very good friend. It is now very painful to go back and read his old posts in www.rightmantra.com.

I never thought I will be writing a post on him.

Sundar, you will be missed.

Punctured

One of the worst nightmares that can come true is your bike getting punctured when you are on the way to work. If it is in Chennai then it is special.

As per murphys law your bike always get punctured at a place where there wont be any sign of puncture shop in the neat vicinity. It has happened to me umpteen times and every time I had to talk quite some distance to find a shop.

Another specialty is the guy will never come to the place where the bike is. He will always ask you to bring the bike. Pushing the bike with punctured wheel will only do more damage and that is what they expect. Even if you are ready to cough up more money they don't budge.

The first answer you get is the puncture can't be repaired and we have to go for new tube. Important reason is the mouth and the puncture hole is worse because you pushed it all the way to shop at his request.

கறுப்பு பணம் - 2

மோடி 500 மற்றும் 1000 ரூபாய் நோட்டுக்கள் செல்லாது என்று சொன்னபொழுது இது நிச்சயம் நல்லது என்று நினைத்தவர்களில் நானும் ஒருவன். ஆனால் அதை செயல் படுத்தியவிதம் அந்த எண்ணத்தை பொடி பொடியாக்கிவிட்டது.

இந்தியா போன்ற கட்டுமானத்தில் பின்தங்கிய நாட்டுக்கு இது சரிப்படாது. குறிப்பாக சென்னை புயலில் சிக்கிய இந்த நாட்களில் இது தெளிவாக புரிந்தது. எங்குமே அட்டையை உபயோகிக்க முடியவில்லை. காரணம் தொடர்பு சாதனங்கள் இயங்கவில்லை. ரூபாய் நோட்டுக்களை இல்லை. இதனால் தொல்லை அடைந்தவர்களில் நானும் ஒருவன்.

இன்னும் வங்கிகளில் கூட்டம் குறைந்தபாடில்லை. நம் நாடு ஒன்று இப்படி ஒரு சர்வாதிகாரியிடம் மாட்டுகிறது அல்லது ஒரு முதுகெலும்பில்லாத ஆட்களிடம் மாட்டுகிறது .

ஆனால் இதுவரை தமிழர்கள் மட்டுமே இழித்தவாயர்கள் என்று நினைத்திருந்த எனக்கு வடஇந்தியர்களும் சளைத்தவர்களில்லை என்று உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டு இருக்கிறது. 

கறுப்பு பணம்

எல்லா  இடத்திலும் இப்பொழுது பேசப்படும் ஒரே வார்த்தை கறுப்பு பணம். அநேகர் இதற்கு ஆதரவு தெரிவித்து உள்ளனர். கறுப்பு பணம் இல்லாதவர் இந்நாளில் உண்டா? நம்முடைய பொருளாதார அமைப்பு அனைத்துமே கறுப்பு பணத்தை ஊக்குவிக்கும் வண்ணமே உள்ளது. இந்நிலையில் கறுப்பு பணம் இல்லாதவர் ஒருவர் கூட இருக்கமுடியாது.

அப்படியானால் அநேகர் இதற்கு ஆதரவு தெரிவிப்பதற்கு என்ன காரணம்? பெரிய முதலைகள் மாட்டுவார்களாம். மறுபடியும் சிறு தவறு செய்தால் அது தவறு இல்லை பெரிய தவறு செய்பவனே குற்றவாளி என்னும் ஒரு தவறான மனித மனதின் வெளிப்பாடே இது.

அது மட்டும் அல்லாது தனக்கு பத்து ரூபாய் நட்டம் வந்ததாலும் அடுத்தவனுக்கு பெரிய நட்டம் வந்தால் போதும் என்னும் இன்னொரு தவறான எண்ணத்தின் வெளிப்பாடும் இது.

Jayalalitha

Certain things are just unbelievable.

After MGRs demise no one would have guessed Jayalalitha can become CM but it happened.

But after the 1996 fiasco again no one would have guessed she can become CM again but it happened.

Between 1991 - 1996 it was mostly the ministers sycophancy and self indulgence of her that earned the wrath of the people.

But who would have guessed that the same people will do a 180 degree turnaround and show the kind of dedication which makes the sycophancy of the ministers pale in comparison. Atleast the ministers will benefit for their sycophancy but what does these common people gain? How did they become so dedicated? I don't think that they show that kind of dedication to anyone else in their family.

If MGR was a phenomenon he looks like a kid in front of Jayalalitha.

It is very difficult to understand people.

But nature evens out everything. It's ways are really unpredictable.

We need to wait and watch.

Celebrity

Recently I was thinking about my interests when I was a teen. I was a big fan of tamil novels. Especially Rajesh Kumar, Subha and Pattukotai Prabhakar. While I was reading these main stream authors I also used to read Rajendra Kumar and Pushpa Thangathurai. Compared to the earlier three these two will sprinkle in little more erotica in their writing.

At that time all these people were in their top form and they were celebrities. Over the year the latter two were no more there in the field. I can see the celebrity span of these celebrities are limited. I dont know how many of them remembers Pushpa Thangathurai. Only people who were from 70's and 80's still look for his writing that too not actively. Some celebrities will have longer span than others.

There are some who gets written in the history like the kings and artists like Alexander or Da Vinci but others are forgotten after their era. Their names will still be found by people who dig deeper into he area but still their longevity is limited.

Even if we look at MGR who had a huge fan following during his days, I dont know how many will remember MGR as an actor. People who search for his movies has come down and will come down as the people who lived during his days die. He will still be there in history as TNs chief minister though as it is an official record. Like that some might exist only in the history records.

Compared to normal people their longevity might be high but when we look at it from the earth's age everything blurs.

But dinosaurs are real heros they are still remembered after millions of years but still only as species which went extinct. It can happen to all the Kim Kadarshians, Paris Hiltons, Donald Trumps, Michael Jacksons, Rajini Kanths, Kamal Hassans and Ambanis as well. They will only be remembered as human species.

Sicario

Sicario is one movie which impressed me in a long time. Atleast the first 3 quarters of the movie was in different league and the twist in the climax was not that impressive, atleast for me. Everyone delivered stellar performance right from Benicio Del Toro, Josh Brolin to Emily Blunt as the brooding women agent.

The cinematography was fantastic, the state of Arizona provides such stunning backdrop for the happenings.

Sometimes I had to just sit through without understanding what the hell was happening but it was still satisfying.

If you are looking for a gripping thriller, this is the movie for you.
